Frequently Asked Questions

To help you feel informed and at ease, here are some answers to some of the most common questions about hypnosis to help you feel confident about your journey.

"What if I'm nervous or resistant to be hypnotized?"

Everyone can be hypnotized, but all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Only people resistant to the process will not be hypnotized. Hypnosis is a natural state that we enter multiple times a day and can be accessed whenever. It is simply relaxing the mind and body with intention. We will spend a lot of time getting to know one another before hypnosis. In our first session, we discuss your goals with hypnotherapy, and we take plenty of time for you to understand the hypnosis process. We go over FAQs and I answer any questions you might have. After all of that is out of the way, we start with a relaxing hypnotic induction or guided meditation to a peaceful state. You don’t have to try, just relax and focus on my words and the instructions with an easy-going positive attitude. Hypnosis is not unconsciousness. You retain some conscious awareness even as you gain access to the deeper layers of your mind. There are many different approaches to hypnosis as well.

"How Will I Experience Hypnosis?"

Each person can be different. The body can feel heavy or light, sinking or floating, tingling or warm. The mind could feel calm and clear, concentrated and focused, daydreamy and drifty, peaceful or confident. You may drift away from the words, but drift into the spirit of the communication. You can remain in hypnosis whether your eyes are open or closed, whether you are speaking or silent, whether you are still or moving.

"Will I lose control in Hypnosis? Can you make me do things I don't want to do?"

Hypnosis is nothing more than a 'relaxed state of consciousness' beyond your conscious mind. You are completely in control of your hypnosis experience and coherent the entire time. You will not lose control. You have the ability to pull yourself out of the hypnotic state at any point during the experience. Think of it as a deep meditation where we are quieting your conscious mind and bringing forth your subconscious mind. As your hypnotherapist, I work as your guide in sessions to help you navigate and reprogram the mind. In Regression and other change work, I ask your unconscious open-ended questions to gather information, making sure never to put ideas into your head that are not your own, and navigate you through your memories. I cannot make you do anything against your will, since you are coherent and in control throughout the entire experience.

"What if I can't visualize, how will I be able to see in hypnosis?"

Information comes through to us in many ways. Visualization happens in many ways other than seeing, it's more so about experiencing a situation. Visualization comes through in different senses such as sight, sound, smell, feeling, knowing. Visualization can come through to us in pictures, clips from what seems like movies, flashes of images, sounds, and quite possibly even nothing but a deep sense of knowing.

"Can I Be Hypnotised?"

You can decide to block the hypnotic process. If you decide to work with the hypnotic process to achieve your goals, you can. It’s your choice. You can decide right now that you are a good hypnotic subject. If you think you can, you’re right. If you think you can’t, you’re right.

"How will I feel after the session?"

After a session, you will return back to feeling normal. I give you the appropriate time to readjust to your surroundings. Afterwards, we will do a quick post-talk before sending you off. Most feel refreshed, happy and excited after a session and get a great night's sleep following the sessions. Many first time clients report feeling a sense of relaxation and peace they have never experienced before.

Past Life Regression FAQS:

"Can recalling memories or the death experience be painful?"

We set the intention before moving into the death scene to not feel any physical sensations at all and to view things from an outside perspective, to detach from any pain or emotions and watch the death scene like from a scene out of a movie. We move through the death scene quickly to review the life and lessons.

"Will I recall animal lifetimes?"

It’s (very) unlikely. It’s possible if you have a strong connection to the animal world or feel a strong sense of an animal incarnation.

"I Have Enough Problems With This Life, Without Adding Past Lives..."

Your problems from this life may have past life causes, so they could have solutions in past lives. You would reduce, not increase your problems with regression.
